THE BACKSTORY…

Driven by her deep love and passion for flowers, Corrie has from a very young age, either had a bouquet of flowers in her hand, or has adorned her head with a flower garland. In fact, her very first word was FLOWER.

Inspired by this innate connection, we realised that the Withywood gardens is the perfect environment to establish a cut flower social enterprise, for both Corrie and our wonderful regular participants who have SEND. And so the CORRIE FLORRIE cut flower enterprise very naturally blossomed with the ethos that nurturing flowers can nurture people too.

Rooted in our outdoor and wellbeing sessions, we’ve seen how much pride and joy comes from growing something beautiful, and sharing it with others in the community felt like the natural next step.

THE PROCESS…

Participants are involved in every step, from planting and caring for the flowers to harvesting and arranging each bouquet. This hands-on, creative process supports confidence, wellbeing, and a real sense of purpose, with every bunch reflecting the care and contribution behind it. All of our flowers are grown here in the gardens, seasonally, without long distance transport or nasty chemical use.

We will make mistakes, and we will learn, there will be trial and error, but we aim to deliver to you beautiful fresh bouquets that have not only helped the environment create biodiversity, but has helped people with diverse differences feel proud of their achievements.
